So. Student teaching. Glad that's over. Really glad that's over.
I am now graduated, officially! Hooray! Just waiting now on diploma and license. And looking for a job. There is one out there, I know it, I just have to find it. Until then, I wait. And be a substitute teacher! :D
Now that I have free time again, I've begun to delve into my crafty habits once again. I made my two good friends some hats and flowers to match, because they absolutely adored the ones I had made for myself.
I think they liked them, don't you?? :D I just used a basic hat pattern, and added a little trim to each. I used some Love That Yarn I picked up awhile back for both - it was the sparkle type, so each hat has silver woven throughout it! It's very pretty and super easy to work with. I also made armwarmers using this pattern in matching colors for each of them. They really loved those too!
One of their little brothers got one pair of the warmers, put them on and declared himself as Spiderman. That started me thinking...so I'm working on some kid-sized warmers in Spidey colors. As soon as I know if the pattern I wrote up fits them, I'm planning to post it here (along with photos). So be on the lookout for that!
My own Christmas was lovely. I got lots of gorgeous things, and everyone loved the presents I gave to them. I always worry way too much about people liking their gifts. But this year everyone seemed really pleased, so I was thrilled. I can't wait to do it all again next year! :D
I suppose that's all for now. Hopefully it won't be so long til I can update again!
I'm hoping to have the pattern posted for those Spidey warmers by the weekend. We'll see if it goes according to plan!!
