Another new year, another chance to make some changes! I've sort of made it my unofficial resolution to post here more, so I figured I might as well get a start on that.
To be honest, I quite enjoyed 2010, but I'm really excited to see what 2011 will bring. I'm hoping it will be a year of good things, and I plan to do my best to make it so! There are a lot of things I hope to accomplish this year...not life-changing things, but just some small vague-ish goals...
I've been spending a lot of time crocheting lately, and I'm hoping to branch out this year and tackle some amazing projects. I bought the latest issue of Crochet Today!, and I'm seriously debating subscribing. I didn't think I'd ever be interested in that sort of thing, but I absolutely adore the issue I got. It had loads of great stuff! The year's subscription is around 18 bucks, which really isn't bad at all. I can get two years for around 30 bucks, and I might just splurge and get that. It'd be 12 whole magazines full of awesome projects for me to try out!
Not only crochet, but I'd like to attempt lots of other crafty endeavors as well. I recently bought a handheld sewing machine and I'm excited about the possibilities it offers. There's one considerable project that I'm anxious to test out: to make my own camera bag. I'd love to have a messenger style bag, but they're so expensive! I'm still sort of in the plotting stages right now, but I think I have a workable idea. We'll see how it goes....if it ends up being something decent, I'll be sure to post about it here.
Hopefully, this new camera bag will make it easier for me to tote my Nikon around, allowing me to accomplish one of my other goals: learning more about my DSLR. (See my awesome segue way there?) There's so much about my camera, and photography itself, that I don't know, and I think I ought to! I believe there is plenty of room for improvement in my photography skills, and I'm hoping to get better at it this year.
Well, I'm not sure how interesting this was to anyone else, but there it is! Apparently, I had more to say than I thought I did! Until next time! :)
